James A. Heintz

James A. Heintz is a professor emeritus of accounting at the University of Kansas School of Business. He received his bachelor’s degree, graduating with honors, from Quincy College in 1966 and earned his CPA with the state of Illinois one year later. In 1972, Heintz received his doctoral degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Heintz joined the KU faculty in 1998, teaching primarily on the topics of auditing, financial accounting, audit judgment formation, and the uses of published financial data.
