Kenneth Mackenzie is a distinguished professor emeritus at the University of Kansas School of Business. He received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 1960 and his doctorate in business administration in 1964, both from the University of California, Berkeley. Mackenzie also served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for about three years as a junior officer.
He joined the KU faculty in 1972 and throughout his tenure taught classes in organization theory, organizational behavior, decision-making, and organization design. His research primarily focused on organizational structures, examining processes and inspecting how processes and structures change. Mackenzie retired in 2006 from KU as the Edmund P. Learned Distinguished Professor of Business.
