H. Joseph Reitz

H. Joseph Reitz is a professor emeritus of business administration at the KU School of Business.

Reitz graduated from KU with a bachelor’s in business in 1960 and later earned a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He returned to KU as a professor in 1988 after spending time at Indiana University, Georgia Tech, the University of Florida and the University of Innsbruck in Austria.

He is the co-founder and Advisory Board Chair of the School of Business’ International Center for Ethics in Business. He also helped establish the Center for Ethics and Values at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Reitz has organized many executive development programs and is a frequent speaker and consultant for business.

Reitz retired in 2006, the same year he was honored with the KU School of Business Distinguished Alumni Award.
