Wayne Boeckman is president and owner of both North Texas Metal Spinning LLC and American Mil Spec Services. North Texas Metal Spinning is a specialty manufacturing company that provides products to a diversified customer base, and American Mil Spec Services is a military subcontractor that does specialty finishes and plastisol coating.
A native of northeast Kansas, Boeckman graduated from the University of Kansas in 1972 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting. He accepted an offer from Arthur Young in Fort Worth, Texas, where he has lived since graduating. Boeckman earned his CPA license while working for Arthur Young.
In 1975, Boeckman joined Fort Worth Pipe and Supply, a division of Whittaker Corp., as its controller. In 1977, he was promoted to vice president of operations and, in 1982, became president of Winters Industries, another division of Whittaker Corp. Boeckman purchased Texas Metal Spinning in 1986, and under his ownership, the company experienced growth in revenue and profits. In 2010, he purchased American Mil Spec Services and, two years later, started North Texas Metal Spinning.
Since graduating, Boeckman has been actively involved with KU, serving on numerous boards for the university and School of Business. In 2016, he was recognized with the KU School of Business Distinguished Alumni Award.
